46 Days to Go!!!
Its getting really close now, and everything is sorted....crb, flights, fees, medical, travel & gadget insurance, visa & what ever else!!! haha
So my visa arrived a few days ago
Pictures not great, but hey!
So now its all ready all thats left to do is pack!
I have a lot of uni work to do first tho!! Dissertation, Presentation and two assignments untill i can begin to really get excited!!!! :( but its my 21st in a couple of weeks...
So disney is round the corner

VISA's!!!!
Hello,
So yesterday was my appointment at the embassy for the Visa!!
My appointment was at 11am, so i got there around 10:30 and left around 1pm!!!
Here ill give you a run thru of the day.
Firstly you Que up outside (thank god it was not raining) a guy checks your appointment letter and makes sure you didnt have any electronics on you as these cannot be brought in (inc phones!!!) luckily my family decided to come with me to do some shopping so they held on to my things. (no one can come into the embassy with you).
Then another guy checks your passport, then some more queueing. Before you go into like a booth which is security. Its like being at the airport, you bags go thru a scanner, you have to take any jewelry off etc... then you walk through a detector thingy. Then you walk to the embassy.
First your letter is scanned and your given a number (like being at argos) waiting to be called, it was really busy!!! Luckily there was about 5 of us from disney going, so we all found each other and just sat chatting so the time seemed to go fairly quickly :)
When your first called, you go to a desk hand over your paperwork and the guy check it thru, i had a few issues with my photo, so be very aware of this before you go, they are very strict, check out the embassy website on the requirements!! very important, once the supervisor and manager came to see me, i was finally allowed to continue! So i gave my fingerprints (both hands and thumbs, you cant have any cuts or blisters)
At this point your also given a copy of your rights as a worker in the US and an address card for shipment.
Then you sit down again and wait for the number again!
Once your called for the second time, you go to a different desk, this is your 'interview' part, although all i was asked was "so what role have you been given at Disney?" and that was basically it, then i verified my fingers prints and he said i had been approved!!!!
Then you take your address card to another desk to pay for shipping :)
So overall you spend under ten mins with people but are there for hours...............
Obvs worth it tho!!! hahah Cost wise its $140 for the appointment $35 for the processing and £15 for the shipment!!!!!!
Was really good meeting others on the program has gotten me even more excited!!!!
Was exactly 2months yesterday untill i go :)
sooooo excited now...just waiting for the time to pass :)

Hello All,
Today is a goooood day because.......MY WELCOME PACK ARRIVED!!!!!
I was literally tooooo excited, it comes in a pretty Disney folder, with a posh Disney look book outlining the rules on appearance.....i have to take my piercings out :( Then the best part is the OFFICIAL OFFER LETTER from DISNEY.....outlining your job what you may be doing and how much you will get paid.....i think mine was $7.85 or something like that anyways. So this is all very exciting!!!
But the most important part is the visa shizzz.... a lot of stuff to do!!! So im a briefly outline this, so y'all no what you may have to do if any of you apply :)
So first is going online and paying the SERVIS fee which is $35, you fill in a brief form and pay, then most importantly print out your receipt! Then you can go ahead and call the embassy to arrange your appointment, i have chosen London as this is nearest to me, so on the phone (one of those expensive numbers!!) i was on there for around 5-10 minuets, the operator takes some details from you, most of which can be found on the forms Disney send you, but you will also need your passport handy, be aware you have to pay for your appointment so once its booked you pay $140 over the phone, then you get an email confirmation of all this, which again you must print out, the operator at the end of the call asked me to say hi to goofy for him!!! haha So that's done now comes the time consuming part filing in the DS-160 form online...takes agess and they want to know everything about you!!! all sorts of numbers etc......you will again need your passport, all the forms Disney sent you and the ones you just printed out.......its not a hard form its just very very long.....so make sure you dont have to be anywhere...and be warned they will need a photo (mine is hideous) and there are a lot of rules regarding the photo!!..... again after this print it out!!!
The embassy have lots of stupid rules, #1 no electronic devices in the building at all inc.your mobile phone!! #2 no cuts or blisters on your fingers (for fingerprinting) #3 they do like airport security so dont bring any thing that will go off especially as they have no lockers or anything... the list goes on!!!
So my appointment is booked for april, so far thats all i can do.
The other day i purchased my travel insurance which cost me £44, how it works is disney have a medical insurance plan which you pay $100 to be covered medically whist working for them, so the travel insurance is for my medical when im travelling and for my possessions etc...whilst there :)
Still waiting for my hoody...im hoping this will arrive soon :)
